I have always said, if your gonna make a cartoon / comic book / toy "THE MOVIE" the one key element it needs to be bad ass action is, a fight in a devastated city street filled with burned cars and fallen street lights. Also one of the main hero characters must stand on or leap over one of the said burning cars as he charges into battle. And Avengers you do me proud. The shot of Captain America , shield in hand leaping over an exploding car is shot so bad ass its totally a Marvel comic panel come to life. I think Tonys Starks humor is gonna get old fast but who cares, this is gonna be bad ass. Chris Evans surprised me sooo much as Captain American, it still feels like we are looking at a totally different actor. Loki with a possible Alien army as the villian is A O K with me, honestly I was always hoping Ultron (they didnt really need to explain him who cares he just looks cool) but hey thems the breaks. I am just worried about the final fight having to be Thor vs Loki. Regardless this is the super hero movie to end them all. Its hollywood BLOCKBUSTER at its finest. Expect more then one ticket bought by me, and honestly that is saying something.

DEATH COMES TO SOON? After a fairly impressive Captain America and Thor which most thought impossible we are getting ready for the superhero film to end all superhero films (next to a Justice League movie) THE AVENGERS in 2012. Costumes not so impressive , it has a power rangers feel. Not that I am complaining. I'm such a fuckin geek, even as out of place that Captain A and Hawkeye look, I am still excited. Jeremy Renner is one busy mother fucker with Mission Impossible and the new Jason Bourne. Also Scarlett Johansson's butt fits the costume well. We shall see... we shall see.

And hey as you can tell from my Justice rants as of late that DC is obviously trying to angle themselves into a mega movie deal as well... so soon Justice League will be "hip" enough.

I try not to rant about a trailer but BS Human Centipede 2 the full sequence or whatever. Tom Six had a hilarious trailer saying he was one uping himself cause Human Centipede wasn't sick enough. And well it wasn't very sick, it was funny. That's why it was fun cause it was retarded good fun... say it with me now kids... stupid is as fun does... then say... FEED>...FEED!!!
Now slap your self in the ass with a horse whip k. Giddity up kids, Tom Six wants to make you puke, he will have a dude fist another dude with a barbedwire socko puppet. Seriously he will. Anyways... the first trailer was funny cause he broke the fourth wall in a weird way. Now this trailer... which by the way proves it fail but getting the dates wrong, goes a step farther by showing people watch the film (which isnt done by the way) and shows them barfing and crying. JUSTICE LEAGUE ISSUE ONE JUST MADE ME MAD

Last night I went to my local comic shop at midnight to get what is considered the biggest thing to happen to comics in years. The first issue of Justice League which dawns the 100% reboot of dc comics. Well its the biggest marketing event thats for sure and the very story of this issue screams that. You don't get a Justice League by story end. You only get Green Lantern and Batman and Superman on the final page. But first I have to ask you ... am I too old now? Is that it? When Crisis on infinite earths happened in 1985 I remember my dad reading a comic and hating it. I was barely able to read so i didnt know what had happened. The reboot back then was only in tiny ways but I will agree with my father , it made Superman into a whiney human! Jump to 2011 and we have my favourite heroes being redone souly to be marketed to todays kids and to movie making companies. Batman is dark I dont mind that, but when in the Justice League he is a HERO. Now he is the darknight always , wanted by the police and hiding in the dark. When confronted by Green Lantern the new world Batman tells him they must be feared by the people t successfully be heros. The very police try to shoot down Green Lantern , not just cause he is with Batman but because he is "one of those guys" metahumans! Thanks X men. The gritty world that makes the X men cool now needs to be the world for the Justice League? Excuse me? Thanks JIM LEE, guess thats the only world you know. Reading Justice League issue 1 was gritty and angry, Green Lantern was mouthy and cocky and not in a funny way and Batman was dark and mistrusting. For the first time I literaly heard the stupid Christian Bale voice in my head while I read it and even heard Ryan Renalds stupidity coming out of Green Lantern. This made me mad. Its like when you see a movie that was obsviously not written for franchise characters. You know the script was good but not good enough to sell on it's own so they put the Ninja Turtles or the cast of Star trek in it. Those who are fans of those franchise all know they have seen an episode or movie of those and felt that way at some point or another. That's how Justice League issue 1 felt to me. I knew its Batman and Green Lantern but only consmeticly , what made they cool to me and what made them feel real was gone. They needed to explain in every line what made Batman Batman and What made Hal Jordon Green Lantern. As if we didn't know who these two were. Yeah I know its supposed to be for the next generation but telling me Batman has no powers and that he is a detective not a monster in conversational dialogue is not just down talking to me , its down talking to a 6 year old. Even six year olds know who Batman is and what he is about. These characters are NOT knew, sorry kids they are not hip. You want hip go read Deadpool and X men. I like Deadpool and X men too. But to make the Justice League like them is pointless. They are not misfits they are Heros, becons of hope. Not sketchy people we want to watch grow and mature, we want to feel safe with heros. If the heros we have in our imagination are filled with reminders of failure and humanity what hope is there for the normal people. Yeah sure hey sounds like Watchmen. I love Watchmen, but if this is what kids have to look up to, what a freakin bummer. I am all for being dark and twisting things, from time to time. And I am all for change, I was the only guy in the world that liked Heman 2002. Hell I love Damian Wayne and DIck Grayson as Batman. But you can change the look, the name, the story, but if you change the persona, the character, the feeling these larger than life character bring. Why not just write something else instead of just cashing a buck of classic names.

In closing , my favourite characters have always been the Justice League, in every form, even if I have thought Superman was a whiney baby who can't accept he's alien Jesus. But seriously guys your making wanna just go read X men, who do what you are doing but better.

Oh yeah.... they announced Justice Society will be in the new DC 52 in October but in a "whole new exciting way like you have never seen".... hey Hip Old guys! ... great.... Good Grief.

WWE signd Mistico

Rey mysterio wanted him for some time but the Hulk Hogan sized star of Mexico wouldn't budge. Until now. AT a press conference 2 days ago in Mexico City they revealed Mistico was the newest member of the WWE roster.

They even refer to him as formerly Mistico since they knew what power his name brings to the Mexican audiance. But of course since he is in WWE he has to change his name. He is now known as SIN CARA, which just means faceless in Spanish. So what it's special that he covers his face? Like he is the only luchadore ever. Obviously someone in WWEs booking power house is in will the lucha libra world as at Wrestlemania lucha family member Del Rios will be in the main event. I like this and I don't cause well I am glad to get to see these talents more but they will come off lack luster and as always WWE will tire of them and it will tarnish the mysterious legendary type character that guys like Mistico have worked so hard for. Like Ultimo Dragon in the WCW days, the fan boys knew he was a legend and knew to respect him but after his WCW run he was reduced to "That Japanese guy with the shiney stuff on".
But if they let him he will at least give us a sweet highlight reel or two. Expect maybe Sin Cara (hurts to say that name) and Rey Mysterio to tag up at Wrestlemania and maybe a feud between the two to lead from there.

So Warner bros was working on a CG movie of Thundercats for awhile but they have recently scrapped it for an anime style new tv series this summer. This was announced with the preview of the new toy line this month. SO with the new classic style animation being in process the girls and boys and Warner Bros found it ok to throw out this CG short that was made for the now defunked movie. I dont like "little" Liono but still it seemed kind of bad ass.

WWE NOT TNA WTF

Wait wait WHAT? Main Event Madia showed up in WWE NOT TNA? WTF! ? WOW and other 3 set initials!

Last week on TNA they said "They who are coming" "made an offer we cant refuse" and then Scott Stiener showed up hinting that the return of the Main Event Mafia would be on Feb 3rd TNA IMPAcT. BUUUUT on the Rumble Nash and Booker showed up and the rumor is Sting is in WWE as well, which is sooooo not WWEs style anymore. SO That gives TNA less than a week to fix things. BUt WOW if the Mafia are in WWE well Nash Sting and Booker thats great , great to see some guys with some class and some history there , i mean in general I was never fans of them but its guys like that, that could shake up WWE a bit wow

Yeah I NEVER watch WWE, but sometimes I watch the Rumble, as a past wrestler and booker I get really insulted by WWE these days, but good for them for stiring the pot this week by stealing TNAs surprise wrestlers out of thier contracts a week before thier debut, thats some sweet shit stiring and makes for good TV

Its more the fact that WWE did something SOOOOOO counter productive well counter productive to thier usual ways JUST to screw over TNA for thier PPV next week.
1 That shows WWE fears TNA, which is gonna fuel the fire soooo much.

2 TNAs next PPV is gonna suck and be fucked up that they are gonna have to up the ate and take some crrrazzzzzy risks and

Rumor has it they wont bring anyone knew but have half of Hogans team surprise attack the rest splitting the big bad guy team. They will use that broken leg and arguement between AJ and Bishoff as a lever point. Which makes sense cause other than a WCW or WWF legend group who else could intimidate HOGAN and Bishoff. But its very lack luster and is basically just redoing the gimmick when Hogan made immortal in the first place. SO we shall see.

3 if the young pretty boys of WWE have these old meglomaniac multimillionare guys stealing the show on the road to Wrestlemania they are gonna up thier game too , I imagine Wrestlemania will star these guys and end them but the road to it is gonna be good. For both TNA and WWE. Its soooo not like WWE to think this way. I wonder what's going on over there... damnit look it even sucked me in, the biggest WWE hatin wrestling fan out there. DAMN!

Mark this day on your calenders the day I said WWE made a great decisions and it made me care about shit like Sting. Cause I have never said this before and doubt I will be saying it again.

100 percent AGAINST the cap, and limited minutes on cell use is stupid too, its virtual product you can in no way support the choice of price per unit expecially when the very companies are making it full life everyday common used product. The internet is no different then your cable package you pay for the choice THEN use as you wish, no surprises tricks or displays as 99 percent of all north american servers (this goes for cell phones) do NOT show you the correct usuage until billing time, SO that you WILL make the mistake and go over.
This is not water, not gas, not oil infact you can not even differenciate it from long distance to normal minutes. OUR internet is now our phones and our TV and also are home buisnesses capping this is counter productive and effecting the ONLY new buisness to grow during the economony falls. Old ways need to end and new ones need to grow and like it or not the new ones are virtual and when the companies use that cultural trait to charge more you will find it will become stolen just like gas with a hose was taken out of your nieghbours car in 1999.

BATMAN RISING and X Men First Class

I tooootally understand when a movie does not follow the comic cause serious different medias work different ways. I am excited about Bane being the big bad guy in the new Batman movie, even if it doesnt fit the time line or the character. This will mean we can have a real style Bane though, dark , smart and gangster and not the shape changing Hulk type character that most cartoons (and the Batman and Robin) interpreted Bane as being. SO I am totally interested on how this flick will work out. Nolan is trying to ease Batman into a more superhero world without going all Joel Shoemocker on us so it will be a slippery slope indeed to work on. 2012 we shall find out. But this fall we get X men first class.... WHAT THE FUCK!? These changes are just stupid. A nearly teen CHarles Xavier is in the first X men class with Beast and Havok and Mystique??? I can see a story before Charles starts the school but why is he a student ? This is stuuuupid, it defys the point of most of those characters. Beast and Charles cant be equals? Havok is near Charles Xavier age? The point of Havok is he is the younger slightly bratty bro of Cyclops... this is gonna be a mash up of character not used yet and we will get Mortal Kombat 2 out of this... dear GOD! SHoot me with a mutant bullet!

Christmas dreams

So I had this dream last night that Guns and Roses came to my parents place for X mas, Izzy Stradlin and I played duck hunt on the old NES as Duff Makeegan had my cat on his lap bushing it and Slash helped my mom make dessert as he said he had the best apple crumble recipe but it involved flaming it like a suflay. Axle put a pack of cocaine in a bottle of malt liquor chugged it back and fell asleep on the couch with a Santa hat on. Oh did I mention I am sick and have a high fever.

With this past week on facebook was childhood cartoon week. Makes me think Where are the are action cartoons? There are a few based off some animes and some based off some comic books but not many at all? Its either adult swim comedy or little little kid cartoons. The 80s had so many and some sadly forgotten. History remember He man and Thundercats, Gi Joe and Transformers, but you SHOULD remember these ... Get school'd kids and hope you see a rerun of these some day.
The 90s had many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rip offs of animal people hero teams , Street Sharks , Biker Mice from Mars and Cowboys of MooMasa. But in the 80s there were action heros to dare I say the hair metal extreme... like these...

With Smallville ending at the end of this season the network has been plotting new "Hip" "Young" superhero titles to make into a new series. Blue Beetle was thrown around and no direct spin offs of Smallville had gone through, after an Aquaman Pilot of Young Flash script. Now they are thinking RAVEN from the teen titans. The LEAST likely character to have their own comic let alone own TV show... but the way TV shows go today if you stop and think about it, she would be super easy to adapt... that's why they want to do it. Just do a young witch trying to avoid her demon dad and live a normal life in a super hero type world. I bet we will not see her love life with Beast Boy sadly. It's Buffy meets Dark Angle and the Birds of prey and you have 90s television all over again. As not only a comic fan but a Teen Titans fan that's a really weird choice, but sadly that's TV logic for you. We shall see... we shall see.

Hope you all had a happy Halloween. I didn't party as hard as I planned but I did ok ;) Party at the Eyesore Cinema, thanks to NO No Zero for playing at the party, good times for Devils Night. Sunday I got to wear my third costume that week and gave out candy with a little backyard party I held with a few friends, again good times. On Saturday night it was the most hoping in town though. Slutty women every where along side drunk assholes falling down everywhere and luuuuuckily a few cool horror and scary costumes to be seen.
What stood out for me was the street car ride I took late on Saturday night. I entered the street car and the driver was wearing a creepy gold smiley face mask. He held his hand out laughing like the Joker then said in a Bela Legosi tone, "Please come on in". The street car was packed with party goers and shockingly not all wearing cliche douch bag costumes. There were several were wolves and vampires and brides of frankenstien even a Freddy and a Jason. Sure Mario and Luigi where there too but I could look past it. The street car took it's usual root but the driver played Thriller over the PA and would constantly flick the lights on and off to make the girls scream. It was awesome, so much fun. Then I thought, wait the driver is wearing a mask and flashing the lights on and off. This is dangerous, we could die. But maybe we were already dead and this is my heaven, cause it was alot of fun. Seriously a dude passed me a beer. But then I got off at my spot and say a drunk lady Ga Ga yelling and a jock in drag as another Mario and Luigu shared a smoke out side a bar. Nope, this is not my heavy, and yet not terrible enough to be hell. Just lame usual predictable "cool kids" Halloween.
The next morning I went off to work and saw a very tired looking blonde woman on the corner just standing thier. She was wearing a dark blue corset and leather jacket along with fishnet stocking and leather boots (high heels). At first I was like Hey It's Black Canary. Then I thought maybe she is just a hooker. It's Toronto on the Halloween weekend, it could go either way. If she was Black Canary she was partying all night and still had not made it home yet. Cause she looked like she had been out fighting crime all night long.

Regardless good times good times. Got a chance to watch Sleep Away camp and Night of the Demons as well as the Zombie Walk the week prior. So an excellent Halloween season all in all. Hope you guys all kept it spooky.

It's weird I only just got into Wildstorm comics, Stormwatch, Wildcats and Deathblow just very recently so to see how it different from its original IMAGE comics universe. And well as sad as Jim Lee must be.. it's over. DC comics cancels Wildstorm as WB gives them a complete office make over. However Jim Lee and Dan Didio state that some of the bigger characters like Grifter and Mister Majestic may come to the DC universe as if they were always there and not just as a parallel world maybe. Jim Lee says don't quote him yet cause that may change by the time things are said in done. But what is sure is the Wildstorm comics and all related imprint series under that label will end in December.

Grifter on the Outsiders, Fairchild a teen titan, Majestic in the Justice Society. Hmmmm what a mess we could have.

My quit on the spur drunken rant on TNAs PPV Hardcore Justice...
So ummm well it was.. ok. It upsets me to say that the two WWE One Night Stands were way more fun that Hardcore Justice. Oh well maybe I am just a spoiled Wrestling fan. Or Retarded as some would say. What was with the blue light all the time on TNAs PPV in honor of ECW Hardcore Justice. It was the production quality of the hardcore homecoming DVDs without the danger level. Axel Rotten you drunk fuck, what do you think you were doing? Oh that's right NOTHING, he was wobbeling around drunk as a fish and Balls aka Kahoneys and the Dudleys aka 3D (god I hate those names they HAVE to use) had to fill in the show with non hardcore joke spots. RVD vs Sabus was good if not perfect and Tommy Dreamer vs Raven was flawed to hell but total old school ECW fan fare so I enjoyed. Best part of the night was Joel Gertner but when are you not happy to see the quintasensal stud muffin back in action. Gertner could say "stuff her muff" but Tazz had to say Frig instead of his classic Fuck, this saddened me. I just think we are in a different world cause the crowd just didn't get it in Florida. Florida crowds don't understand Brooklyn and Philly state of mind. Was better then most wrestling these days but suffered from sloppy TNAs live crew. Still rather watch that then shiney MTV like WWE these days.
Final thought... I think maybe New Jack raped JB after the show... what do you think?

I honestly dig that Steve Rodgers is back in comics and now head of shield and let the kid stay as the Captain. But we will have a year to wait for the film. With filming prepping to start this week for the Captain America movie, with Chris Evans. Evans honestly has Rodgers face but I don't see him having the charisma. We shall see. The internet has had this technical design for the movie popping up all over the place. A little bit classic a little bit real world via the Ultimates. The movies like to use the Ultimates designs, which works since it's more realisitic, and has Sam Jacksons look for Nick Fury(of course). Like I said, we shall see.
